I often need to repeat keystrokes maybe 2 or 3 or 10 times, like renaming some files or updating a spreadsheet. By the time I start recording, give a filename and save it, I've already hit more keys and clicks than the macro would play back - no time savings. How about Shift-Ctrl-Alt-R and Shift-Ctrl-Alt-P to record & playback a "temporary" macro with no dialog box. Maybe there could be a way through the task tray icon to save the temporary one later, in case you want to edit or keep it, but I wouldn't find that very useful. Allowing 2 or 3 temporary macros would be cool if the keys didn't get too confusing.
